British rockers THE LIBERTINES have made up for lost time since the release of troubled frontman PETE DOHERTY from prison, by reuniting for a string of gigs.

Doherty, who was freed last week (8OCT03) after serving one month in jail for breaking into bandmate CARL BARAT's flat in July (03), joined the band for an exclusive performance in London's REGENT'S PARK yesterday (13OCT03).

After performing in the park's bandstand, guitarists Doherty and Barat rowed a boat to the middle of a lake and continued from a small island.

Immediately after Doherty's release last Wednesday, the group dramatically reformed for a tiny gig at a nightclub in Chatham, Kent, England - their first together since Doherty failed to turn up for a European tour in May (03).
