THE LIBERTINES - LIBERTINES FRONTMAN ARRESTED

British punk rockers THE LIBERTINES will have to keep performing without co-frontman PETE DOHERTY - because he has been arrested for burglary.

The WHAT A WASTER singer was caught by police on Friday night (25JUL03) after he allegedly broke into a basement flat in central London.

Following a brief appearance at the English capital's HORSEFERRY MAGISTRATES COURT, the musician has been released on bail until the full hearing on 11 August (03).

Troubled Doherty has not performed live with his band since failing to turn up for European tour dates in June.
