THE LIBERTINES frontman PETE DOHERTY's ex-girlfriend fears the singer will kill himself with his self-confessed drug habit.

LUCY EVANS is worried the TIME FOR HEROES singer's relentless penchant for heroin and crack cocaine will spell the of end his life - just like his hero, SEX PISTOLS star SID VICIOUS.

Evans - an archaeology student in London - says, "It wouldn't come as a shock if Pete overdosed on heroin.

"At the rate he is going I think it would be a miracle if he lived to Christmas.

"He gets so high on crack cocaine, he takes the heroin to bring him back down and that has to be a dangerous business."
