LIAM GALLAGHER - LIAM GALLAGHER LANDS ACTING ROLE

Rock star LIAM GALLAGHER has landed a hardman role in a new British film called THE MANANA MAN.

The 32-year-old OASIS frontman will play a VINNIE JONES-style character in the movie, which is being filmed this summer (05).

An insider says, "Liam has been thinking about doing something like this for ages.

"Over the past couple of months, he hasn't just been working on music material, but also his acting techniques.

"The film will go into production this summer - it's a bit like TRAINSPOTTING.

"It's all very gritty and that's just the kind of thing Liam has been hoping to sink his teeth into."
