ELLEN DEGENERES - LESBIAN DEGENERES CHATS UP USHER ON TV SHOW

ELLEN DeGENERES poked fun at her sexuality on her daily TV show this morning (21NOV05) when she pretended to hit on R+B superstar USHER.

The lesbian comic-turned-US chat show queen was interviewing the YEAH! singer in New York's Times Square in a taped segment for her show when the couple started getting cosy.

After suggesting that the single R+B star needed to find a woman with a sense of humour and a love of dancing, shocked Usher asked, "Hint, hint?"

DeGeneres, who is dating former ALLY McBEAL star PORTIA DE ROSSI, quickly shot back, "No, I'm not right for you," which prompted Usher to laugh, "That's a hell of a transition."

The chat show host added, "Wouldn't you be something?"

Usher admitted that he is looking for love, explaining, "I'm looking for a companion - someone, you know, I can take to the Waffle House and to the White House."
