LATEST: Pneumonia didn't keep guitar great LES PAUL from a Los Angeles tribute concert on Tuesday night (07FEB06) - even though he was in his sickbed in New Jersey at the time.

Paul, 90, was taken to hospital last Friday (03FEB06) and had to cancel his live appearance at an all-star jam session with the likes of SLASH and JOE PERRY.

But he didn't want to let his peers and fans down, so he was beamed to the bash via satellite.

Paul, who suffers from arthritis and hearing problems, is expected to be released from hospital tomorrow (10FEB06), when he hopes to celebrate his double Grammy Awards win from last night (08FEB06).
