LENNON'S IMAGINE T-SHIRT TO MAKE THOUSANDS

A black JOHN LENNON T-shirt emblazoned with the word IMAGINE is expected to fetch $9,500 (GBP5,000) at auction.

The clothing item - which once belonged to the former BEATLE star and bears the title of his most famous solo hit - is going under the hammer at London's Christie's on 5 May (05), and bosses are convinced bidders will be fighting over it.

Meanwhile, the turquoise and white platform shoes SIR ELTON JOHN wore during the 1970s are expected to generate $950 (GBP500).
