Lennon Shock At Pregnancy Announcement
JOHN LENNON's first wife CYNTHIA LENNON has revealed that the pop legend was horrified when she announced that she was pregnant.
21-year old Lennon received the bombshell just as THE BEATLES were beginning to make their transition from local Liverpudlian heroes to chart contenders in the early 1960s.
Cynthia says, "I watched his face drain of all colour, and fear and panic crept into his eyes. He was speechless for what seemed like an age.
"Then he broke the silence. 'There's only one thing for it, Cyn. We'll have to get married."
Lennon had previously rebuffed Cynthia's attempts to talk him into marriage.
