ALMOST FAMOUS star JASON LEE turn as a guilt-ridden lay-about determined to make up for his wrongdoings is having an effect on the actor himself - he's apologising publicly for his past mistakes.

The former pro-skateboarder has used his latest interview in America's TV Guide to apologise for getting a production assistant sacked.

He explains, "There was a production assistant on the movie CHASING AMY that was fired - I overreacted to something he had said about my acting and I was insecure and snitched on him.

"If he's out there and reading this, I'm sorry."
