AVRIL LAVIGNE - LAVIGNE WANTS HIGH-END MODELING GIG

Punk princess AVRIL LAVIGNE has signed with Ford Models and wants to land a high-fashion advertising campaign.

The COMPLICATED singer, who became famous for wearing men's white shirts and ties, had a style awakening after receiving a designer Prada handbag and has become hooked on high-fashion .

Lavigne says, "I want to do those really beautiful ads with the high-end products. I look through magazines and stare at ads and think, 'I'm not six feet tall, but I know I can do that.'"

The singer has shed her tomboy image and has been experimenting with new styles - including new clothes and cosmetics.

She adds, "I'm starting to feel more feminine. I'm getting into hair and make-up and image. That's the best part of being a girl."
