AVRIL LAVIGNE - LAVIGNE STRUGGLED TO KEEP STILL

AVRIL LAVIGNE struggled to adapt her performance technique when she worked on animated movie OVER THE HEDGE, because she had to stay still rather than bound around the recording studio. The COMPLICATED star is more used to channelling her emotions through movement on stage - but she was required to stand in the same place as she delivered her lines as HEATHER the squirrel. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (21MAY06), Lavigne said, "It was just my voice, I had to stand still and say it and I move my hands constantly and hit the microphone stand. "It's hard to be running or be falling down the stairs and have it come out your mouth, but keep your body still."
