HUGH LAURIE - LAURIE SAVES CASH ON THE INTERNET

British actor HUGH LAURIE has escaped the potential problem of sky-high phone bills as he tries to stay in touch with family and friends in London, by speaking to his children via internet video cameras.

Laurie has found huge professional success in hit show HOUSE, which shoots in Los Angeles, but it's keeping him away from his family.

So, he's thrilled to be able to use the internet to help reduce what could be staggering phone bills.

He says, I'm rescued by the miracle of the internet. I have a little camera on my computer and I can see them every day. We talk face to face... So I've got used to having very sort of pixelated children."
