QUEEN LATIFAH - LATIFAH OFFERS LIL' KIM HER SUPPORT

QUEEN LATIFAH is keen to offer pal LIL' KIM a shoulder to lean on when she's released from prison because she thinks more people should have stood up for her before she was incarcerated on perjury charges last year (05).

The rap star-turned-actress has written letters to the authorities in a bid to visit Lil' Kim in jail because she wants to offer her support to her face.

She says, "We have written about a thousand letters for them to put us on the visiting list. I feel bad for her.

"People could have acted on her behalf in a smarter way that would not have had her wound up in this situation, and that disappoints me."
