DEMI MOORE - KUTCHER'S MUM: DEMI AND ASHTON WILL WED IN SIX MONTHS

DEMI MOORE and ASHTON KUTCHER will get married in six months time, according to Kutcher's mother.

Despite speculation the pair are planning to marry at any minute, the hunky actor's mum, DIANE PORTWOOD, is sure her son will wait for another few months - because of the advice Ashton gave his own brother when he got engaged.

She explains, "Demi and Ashton are a great couple and serious about their relationship - but they're going to wait at least another six months before marrying.

"A year or so ago Ashton's twin brother MICHAEL announced he was going to wed after a brief courtship. Ashton said wait until he and his fiancee had been together for at least a year to make sure they were really compatible.

"Michael agreed and waited, so I know Ashton is going to take his own advice. He and Demi have been together for six months, so I imagine they'll plan their wedding for six months from now."

Portwood also shrugs off suggestions the pair's 16 year age gap - Demi is 41, whilst Kutcher is 25 - is a problem, because her husband is 11 years her junior.

She says, "As it happens my husband MARK, Ashton's stepdad, is 11 years younger than me, so I don't have a problem.

"Ashton is very mature for his age. People see the silly stuff he does on TV and in movies and think that's Ashton. Nothing could be further from the truth, that's just acting.

"Ashton took on a great deal of responsibility at a very young age and was a tremendous help. He is wise beyond his years and I know Demi see that in him. Plus Demi acts and looks a lot younger than she is. You're only as old as you act and feel."
