Sexy Russian tennis babe ANNA KOURNIKOVA has been slammed by her ice-hockey star ex-husband SERGEI FEDOROV who has said he is glad to be rid of the blonde beauty.

Fedorov, at 33, is 11 years older than Anna - who celebrated her 22nd birthday yesterday (07JUN03), and he blames the age gap for causing friction in their marital harmony.

He explains, "My teammates were quite supportive. They knew we came from the old world and that our age difference was normal for the Russian way of life.

"But they did have problems with it later when she embarrassed me publicly by being with someone else and not telling me about it."

Speaking bluntly, Fedorov states, "My life is a lot easier without her."

The tennis ace is alleged to have had an affair with Russian sports star PAVEL BURE.
