Korn To Flee Major Labels

Heavy rockers KORN are so disgusted with the "dying" state of the music industry, they plan to quit big labels when their contract with EPIC expires.

The metal stars are convinced the internet is slowly destroying music companies and are desperate to explore new ways of selling their tunes to loyal fans.

And frontman JONATHAN DAVIS admits he's developed a passionate hate for major labels, because they only sign bands who will give them an instant big hit.

He rants, "We're going to do everything ourselves from now on. We plan to put things out via different small distributors and maybe through our official website.

"The record industry is a dying business, what with the internet and everything. Labels only sign bands that give them an instant hit and there's no artist development anymore.

"It's sad because record companies make money from bands like us through our back catalogue, but new bands won't be able to do that. They're killing themselves."
