LATEST: KORN became the first rock band to ever perform a gig onboard a plane last month (NOV05), when they travelled with on-leave US troops from London to New York City.
The band decided to give the soldiers a free lift to their gig at Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom on 29 November - and treated all onboard to an impromptu performance through the private jet's PA system. Guitarist JAMES SHAFFER and bassist FIELDY were forced to use battery-powered amps.
Frontman JONATHAN DAVIS says, "We came up with the idea of grabbing a couple of troops, just to give those guys a break."
