Police investigating troubled basketball ace KOBE BRYANT have dropped plans to charge him with false imprisonment.
According to a copy of the arrest warrant, Colorado cops - who arrested the LOS ANGELES LAKERS star on a sexual assault charge - believe there was "probable cause" of false imprisonment, but dropped the charge because they didn't think there was sufficient evidence.
A spokeswoman for Eagle County DISTRICT ATTORNEY MARK HURLBERT says, "You file charges on things you believe you have enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt."
Bryant, 25, is alleged to have raped a 19-year-old employee of the Colorado hotel where he was staying on 30 June (03).
