THE KINKS guitarist DAVE DAVIES is hopeful he can persuade his brother RAY to agree to reform the legendary British band.

Dave, who suffered a stroke last year (04) and has only recently recovered good use of his body, claims the WATERLOO SUNSET rockers will only get back together if his sibling decides they should.

The 58-year-old says, "I'd love one. Last year was so horrendous, I can't think of anything better.

"But it's up to Ray. It could be as easy as picking up the telephone or as complex and difficult and impossible as Ray wants to make it.

"But I'm really fired up, I'm ready for whatever the future holds."
