French movie KINGS AND QUEEN has been named Best Foreign Film on internet site IndieWire's annual poll.
The film, directed by ARNAUD DESPLECHIN, beat out WONG KARWAI's sci-fi film 2046 for the top spot - an annual early tip for the Best Foreign Film Oscar.
German movie-maker MICHAEL HANEKE claimed the site's Best Director honour for his acclaimed thrilled CACHE (HIDDEN), while BRUNO GANZ (DOWNFALL) and ROMAIN DURIS (THE BEAT MY HEART SKIPPED) tied for Best Actor and EMMANUELLE DEVOS claimed Best Actress for her role in Kings And Queens.
Desplechin also picked up IndieWire's Best Screenplay honour for Kings + Queens.
