Disgraced pop mogul JONATHAN KING has lost his high court battle for $26,600 (GBP14,000) legal costs over an aborted child abuse case.
King, 60, was released from prison last month (MAR05) after serving half of a seven-year sentence for four indecent assaults on boys aged 14 and 15.
At London's Old Bailey yesterday (04APR05), King lost his bid to retrieve the thousands he spent on another abuse case, of which he was acquitted for in 2001.
However, Judge DAVID PAGET - who sat in the original trial - said, "It seems to me that as I recollect the whole of this case and the whole of the indictment, that his conduct did bring suspicion on himself."
