VAL KILMER - KILMER SUGGESTED GAY KISS WITH DOWNEY JR

VAL KILMER spiced up his latest film KISS KISS, BANG BANG by proposing a gay kiss between himself and Hollywood hunk ROBERT DOWNEY JR to movie director SHANE BLACK.

Kilmer and his co-star received hoards of media attention over their same-sex smooch, and Kilmer wants his fans to know it was his idea in the first place.

He tells British gay magazine Attitude, "The original title of the film was Bang. It started off as this stodgy, turgid, boring detective story about a housewife and a guy with a beard, set in the San Fernando Valley.

"I said, 'Shane, let's add a little colour. Why not have him kiss a man?' And Shane went for it."
