American rockers THE KILLERS feel ready to conquer the world, after a few words of inspiration from self-appointed godfather of rock BONO.

The U2 frontman took the band under his wing when they played together at the London Live 8 gig earlier this year (02JUL05) - and frontman BRANDON FLOWERS values every piece of advice.

The 23-year-old, "We met him at Live 8 and we've played a few shows with U2.

"I've received a few words of wisdom. One of the things he told us was to spare people the 'interesting' second album.

"He makes a lot of sense. He's the king of what we do, so when he says something, you'd better listen."
