KIEFER SUTHERLAND's daughter SARAH is determined to follow her famous father into acting - and he's happily encouraging her ambitions.

The PHONE BOOTH star, 37, is determined not to give the 17-year-old hopeful the same negative response his father, acting legend DONALD, gave him when he voiced the same goal.

Kiefer says, "She is pretty clever. I'm quite impressed by her. She just did her first play and I'm very excited for her. She's got a band too.

"It's hard to become successful in showbusiness - it's a million-to-one shot. But I'm going to discourage her from doing something she wants to do."
