KIEFER SUTHERLAND - KIEFER: LIFE FOLLOWS MY ART

Actor KIEFER SUTHERLAND wants to make happier films - because everything he has been attached to recently has a nasty habit of coming true.

The terrorism in 24 mirrored that in the September 11 attacks and then his lunatic sniper film PHONE BOOTH was postponed because of the Washington sniper. Sutherland now says that the coincidences were striking.

He says, "It has been very weird. I have turned into Reality Joe. September 11 happened just after we started making the first series of 24. Then just as we finished making PHONE BOOTH, there was the whole thing with the Washington sniper. Sometimes I think I should just make a movie that ends with happiness and world peace. It has been uncanny to go from 24 to Phone Booth though, both of them turn out to mirror real events. It has been a startling couple of years."
