KIEFER SUTHERLAND - KIEFER LENDS HIS VOICE TO PALS' ANSWER MACHINES

KIEFER SUTHERLAND is making his voice known - on the 24 cast and crew's answer machines.

The actor has been asked to leave his distinctive tones on colleagues' home voicemail systems.

Co-star ELISHA CUTHBERT, who plays his character JACK BAUER's daughter KIM on the show, says, "Everyone wants Kiefer to be the voice on their answering machine, and say 'Hello, this is Jack Bauer!'

"A lot of the crew have their answering system as Jack Bauer. It's really cool him saying, 'Jack's busy with so and so

and he can't come to the phone right now,' or 'We're dealing with a virus here now so if it's that important I dare you to leave a message.'

"It's like, 'Woah! Jack Bauer is on the phone,' and people really freak out."
