The marriage of former Pakistan cricket star IMRAN KHAN and British socialite JEMIMA GOLDSMITH has ended.
Khan announced his divorce today (22JUN04) after nine years of marriage to the late English billionaire SIR JAMES GOLDSMITH's daughter - claiming it was a "mutual decision".
Now a high-profile politician, Khan says in a statement released by his JUSTICE MOVEMENT party, "I sadly announce that Jemima and I are divorced.
"While Jemima tried her best to settle here, my political life made it difficult for her to adapt to life in Pakistan.
"This was a mutual decision and is clearly very sad for both of us.
"My home and my future is in Pakistan."
Goldsmith moved back to London to study last year (03), taking their two children - SULAIMAN and KASIM with her.
