STEREOPHONICS - KELLY JONES IN ELECTRIC SHOCK SCARE

STEREOPHONICS singer KELLY JONES had a lucky escape at a gig on Thursday (7APR05) when his microphone almost electrocuted him.

The Welsh rocker, 31, was performing at an intimate concert for French radio station OUI FM in Paris when he suddenly staggered backwards as an electric current from the microphone coursed through his body.

The HAVE A NICE DAY star was whisked off to recover from the scare, but was soon back on stage to perform a further eight hits.

A source says, "Kelly was getting ready to start singing when something happened with his mic.

"All of a sudden he was scuttling backwards and everyone panicked."
