AMERICAN IDOL winner KELLY CLARKSON saw the funny side of press reports of her 'secret wedding' - when pals called her up to complain they hadn't been invited.
The MISS INDEPENDENT singer read the stories in America's tabloids and felt sure no one would believe them.
She says, "I got 20 calls on my voicemail from my family and friends, saying how upset they were, not getting an invitation to my wedding.
"My mom was laughing so hard that she was crying, because I'm not the type of girl who dreams about her wedding or anything. I want to get married one day, but I haven't been to that extent where I was like, 'I want these flowers, and whatever.'
"The story had specific details like how many guests, where we were having it. They called it a Texas hoedown. I can promise you that my wedding won't be any sort of hoedown. It's fun, though. It's all fun and games."
