American singer KELLY CLARKSON is following in the footsteps of DESTINY'S CHILD, ASHANTI and KELLY OSBOURNE by advertising footwear range CANDIE'S.

Kelly, the first ever winner of the AMERICAN IDOL TV talent contest, will appear in fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazine adverts during the autumn (03).

The MISS INDEPENDENT singer beams, "I'm really excited to be a Candie's girl. Candie's ads are totally different from everybody else's. They're so random, you never know what they are going to do next.

"They like to shake things up, and do things differently, that's what's so cool about it."
