ALMOST FAMOUS - KATE HUDSON'S BOARD GAME BINGE

ALMOST FAMOUS star KATE HUDSON will have plenty to keep her occupied in between looking after her new baby son, after buying a collection of board games before his birth.

The Hollywood actress and her rocker husband CHRIS ROBINSON welcomed their first child, RYDER RUSSELL, into the world on Wednesday (07JAN04), soon after a day-long shopping spree.

Hudson visited TOYS 'R' US in Santa Monica, California, after her actress mother GOLDIE HAWN lent a hand in a two-hour buying session at BABYSTYLE on 3 January (04).

A source says, "In total she shopped from noon to sundown. She was doing the waddle, but it wasn't slowing her down."

Among the many treats for her son, Hudson also picked up board games for herself, including longtime favourites MONOPOLY and TRIVIAL PURSUIT.
