ALMOST FAMOUS actress KATE HUDSON has often spoken out about her estranged father BILL, but now she wants to make clear that she does have a dad.

GOLDIE HAWN's daughter, who is married to former BLACK CROWES star CHRIS ROBINSON, is keen to stress she had a stable family background.

The FOUR FEATHERS beauty says of her musician dad, "It was hard. We just didn't communicate. He doesn't know me from a hole in the wall. But I don't care. I have a dad. I'd like people to understand that, instead of thinking I'm this troubled person because my father wasn't in my life. I got lucky. I have a father who was in my life."
