THE DARKNESS STORIES
THE DARKNESS singer JUSTIN HAWKINS insists his band are so popular, because people are bored with the current music scene.
The I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE rocker reckons manufactured pop groups and glum bands left the door open for their fun and flamboyant sound.
Justin says, "People are f***ing bored s***less with miserable rock bands and bland pop.
"It's emotion. It's not language specific, or culture specific. I call it yearning. Yearning for fun.
"Basically, we rolled a rock to the top of the mountain and then just gave it an extra shove."
