LATEST: MIAMI VICE star DON JOHNSON insists media reports about his battle to save his Colorado ranch from being confiscated have been vastly overblown - he simply shifted his finances around. The actor allegedly paid out $14.5 million (GBP8.3 million) yesterday (26APR06) to rescue the Woody Creek estate from the auction block, but he insists he was just taking care of business. He says, "What I did was a restructuring of some companies. It was misreported that those things were financial problems, and that's not the case. I restructured my companies that held the ranch." But, according to Pitkin County deputy public trustee CAROL FOOTE, the sale of the sprawling property would have started this week (ends28APR06) if the star hadn't paid up an alleged delinquent debt. Ironically, Johnson and his wife KELLEY PHLEGER showed off their winter retreat in the pages of last week's (ends21APR06) OK! Weekly magazine in America.
