SIR ELTON JOHN rates his personality over his physique and believes he will never be a fan of his own looks.

The legendary music star, 57, battles with a low self-image and reckons his body issues stem from his childhood.

John says, "Looking in the mirror and not liking what I see - that's been with me all my life and probably will be until the day I die.

"The physical self-loathing. I like myself as a person very much, but physically.

"David accepts me for who I am - but it's still within me from when I was a kid. I don't think I'll ever change."
