Latina superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ is prepared to face animal rights activists at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film MONSTER-IN-LAW next week (begs02MAY05).
The sexy singer has long infuriated animal lovers with her penchant for fur clothes, and recently hit the headlines because her new SWEETFACE clothing line is full of animal skin.
Animal charity PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS (PETA) have protested at a New York signing for her latest album REBIRTH, as well as outside her Pasadena, California, eatery Madre's.
And after discovering PETA's plans to protest at both the LA and Atlanta premieres of her romantic comedy, J.Lo is prepared to ignore the angry crowds.
Lopez says, "They have targetted me but I don't give a lot of energy to organisations like that. It's their tactics that one can find fault with.
"It's a weird situation, but the great thing about the United States is that everyone is entitled to their opinion."
A PETA spokesman says, "We hope she will have a change of heart."
