CHRISSIE HYNDE - JIM KERR.S DAUGHTER FORGIVES HIS ABSENCE

The daughter of rocker CHRISSIE HYNDE has spoken out about her relationship with her errant father - SIMPLE MINDS frontman JIM KERR.

Actress YASMIN KERR, 18, was brought up by her PRETENDERS singer mother, while Scottish dad Kerr involved himself with his band and then-relationship with PATSY KENSIT.

But Yasmin doesn't begrudge the lack of fatherly attention.

She says, "I only started seeing him properly when I was ten, but I understand that.

"If I was a young guy, I wouldn't know what to do with a little girl. But now we're both grown up, and I really like him. I know him as a friend and not as his daughter, so it's worked out really well."
