JEWEL - JEWEL TO STAR IN DAYTIME SOAP

Singer/songwriter JEWEL is set to perform on US soap opera THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in a bid to promote her latest album. The INTUITION hitmaker, 31, will sing two songs from her new disc GOODBYE ALICE IN WONDERLAND on the 31 May (06) episode on the CBS network. Jewel will play herself in the episode and will sing at a fundraiser hosted by characters NICK and SHARON NEWMAN, who are marking the first anniversary of their daughter's death in a drink driving accident. Jewel will also star in a public service announcement after the episode for an anti-drink driving charity.
