R+B hunk USHER's 26th birthday party in New York attracted such a star-studded crowd, event organisers failed to recognise rapper JAY-Z and denied him entry.
Music stars like Q-TIP, NAS, WYCLEF JEAN and MOS DEF were among the guests helping Usher celebrate at the Thursday night (14OCT04) bash at underground club Table 50, which was hosted by JANET JACKSON's boyfriend JERMAINE DUPRI.
But when Jay-Z arrived, overwhelmed security officials wouldn't allow him to get near to the door, reports website PAGESIX.COM.
Eventually Jay-Z gave up trying to join the party and spent his evening elsewhere.
