JAMIROQUAI - JAY KAY INFURIATES MP BY SMOKING JOINT

JAMIROQUAI star JAY KAY infuriated his local Member of Parliament by smoking cannabis in front of him.

The VIRTUAL INSANITY singer refused to put out the joint at February's (05) BRIT AWARDS, despite LIBERAL DEMOCRAT leader CHARLES KENNEDY's disapproving looks.

But he was horrified to learn Kennedy is the MP for Ross, Skye and Inverness West in Scotland, where Jay Kay has a house.

He says, "I was smoking a joint at the Brits and he was looking down at me, so I politlely said, 'What are you looking at?'

"The funny thing is, I've got a house up in Scotland, and I recently found out he's my local MP.'"
