Rap mogul JERMAINE DUPRI didn't know what to expect at his birthday party on Thursday (23SEP04) - because his girlfriend JANET JACKSON insisted on making all of the arrangements.

R+B hunk USHER and basketball ace SHAQUILLE O'NEAL were among the crowd of revellers who arrived at a Miami, Florida, nightclub to give their best wishes to Dupri on his 32nd birthday.

But he admits his plans were quickly halted, when sexy CONTROL singer Jackson decided to take charge of proceedings.

He says, "I started this party and then she told me, 'Leave it alone; I got it.'"
