JAMIE LEE CURTIS - JAMIE LEE'S LOVE FOR LONDON

American star JAMIE LEE CURTIS grew up alongside Los Angeles' shopping capital Rodeo Drive - but she'd rather shop in London any day.

The glamorous actress, 45 - who is married to British actor and Lord CHRISTOPHER GUEST - returned to London for the British premiere of the comedy remake FREAKY FRIDAY last weekend (13-14DEC03), and revealed she got intense pangs of nostalgia as she completed her Christmas shopping.

Jamie says, "Coming back here has made me realise just how much I miss London.

"I used to live just off Sloane Street and I have been doing my Christmas shopping there again this year, and it made me really nostalgic.

"I used to love shopping in London. I think it's the best in the world. I had a HARVEY NICHOLS store card."

And Jamie still hankers after the social life and English seasons.

Jamie explains, "I really miss the London social life and keep in touch with all my old neighbours. I loved living in London because I could relax and play games in the park with my family, just like a normal person.

"People say you get more sunshine in California but the sun was shining here when I landed at HEATHROW and anyway, I like the different seasons."
