MIKE TYSON - JAMIE FOXX WANTS TO PLAY MIKE TYSON

After winning critical acclaim for his portrayed of RAY CHARLES, JAMIE FOXX hoping to star in another biopic - as disgraced boxer MIKE TYSON.

Foxx, whose efforts in RAY have earned him numerous awards and created OSCAR buzz, has requested that his team looks into acquiring rights to Tyson's story.

Tyson ruled as the world's undisputed heavyweight boxing champ between 1987 and 1990, after winning his belt at the tender age of 20 in 1986.

But his personal troubles later garnered more headlines, when he embarked on a tumultuous marriage with actress ROBIN GIVENS and landed in jail after a rape conviction in 1992.

The controversy continued when he bit off a chunk of EVANDER HOLYFIELD's ear during a 1997 bout. He's currently fighting bankruptcy.
