Rock legend SIR MICK JAGGER only offered one piece of rock'n'roll advice to THE HIVES when they supported THE ROLLING STONES on tour last year (03) - don't buy a boat.

The legendary hellraiser - famous for being careful with his cash - was adamant no matter how successful they become, the Swedish rockers shouldn't indulge in the ultimate rock'n'roll status symbol.

Frontman HOWLIN' PELLE ALMQVIST explains, "He gave us some good advice. He said, 'Don't buy a boat, rent one instead. Or use a friends.'

"That's about all the advice he gave us."
