SAMUEL L JACKSON - JACKSON CHALLENGES ASHANTI TO A DANCE-OFF

SAMUEL L JACKSON was forced to show off his grooves and moves on live TV yesterday (10JAN05) after challenging COACH CARTER co-star ASHANTI to a dance-off on MTV.

The cool PULP FICTION actor insisted he was a better dancer in a pre-taped interview and was then challenged to strut his stuff in front of the R+B singer.

Jackson told TOTAL REQUEST LIVE cameras, "I've been dancing longer. I know more dances, I can do more dances. I'm the better dancer."

But he never thought he'd have to actually dance to prove a point - as Ashanti started grooving to her new hit record ONLY U.

Jackson was impressed with his dance moves: "At least I'm not lost in this category."
