JENNIFER LOPEZ - J.LO'S PAYCUT TO 'PROVE' HERSELF

Latina superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ took a huge paycut to star in forthcoming drama AN UNFINISHED LIFE after a string of flop films reduced her asking price.

J.Lo's breakout films SELENA and OUT OF SIGHT in the late 1990s received critical praise, but her movies over the past four years (begs00) have failed to wow film critics.

Her salary rose to $12 million (GBP6.6 million) for role in ill-fated crime caper GIGLI opposite her former fiance BEN AFFLECK, but after a row of box office misses with ANGELS EYES, ENOUGH and JERSEY GIRL, Lopez is not in such hot demand.

A source from her latest movie An Unfinished Life, tells American newspaper NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Lopez accepted the modest $4 million (GBP2.2 million) salary because "she felt the role would prove she could act".
