British actor JEREMY IRONS wants to take his new play to audiences in war-torn Iraq.
The LOLITA actor is preparing to narrate a one-off stage version of STRAVINSKY's THE SOLDIER'S TALE at London's OLD VIC theatre on Sunday (21NOV04) - and he is keen to take it to Iraq as soon as the situation calms there.
He says, "I'd like to go to Iraq with the play, but we're going to have to see if it's safe. Now is not a good time to go, but it won't be for about a year anyway. I'd even do it in Baghdad."
