The members of rock group INXS were left puzzled by U2's tribute to their tragic singer MICHAEL HUTCHENCE - and would like an explanation from frontman BONO.

U2 scored a huge hit with STUCK IN A MOMENT YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF, which Bono penned as a tribute to his pal, late rocker MICHAEL HUTCHENCE after his suicide death in 1997.

But Hutchence's bandmates are still confused by the track and the accompanying video - and they're not sure they like what they see and hear.

INXS star TIM FARRISS tells the Los Angeles Times, "I'm not really sure what that was all about."

Bandmate GARRY BEERS adds, "In the video, Bono even looked like Michael."
