Injured Homme Soldiers On
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's flame-haired frontman JOSH HOMME has been rushed to hospital for emergency knee surgery, but he remains determined to honour his upcoming live dates.
The NO ONE KNOWS singer ripped cartilage in his knee joint while performing in Australia last month (JUL05), and he fears fans may start losing patience - as the band have been forced to cancel numerous gigs in recent months.
A spokesperson for the stars, who are stoically sticking with their London dates (22+23AUG05), says, "The tour will continue because of the band's refusal to separate themselves from their Mistress of London.
"Queens Of The Stone Age are doing this tour for the fans of the UK that have already endured five cancellations."
Homme first pulled out of a bevy of UK dates earlier in the year (05) after falling ill. The American rockers then postponed two London gigs on 7 July (05) - the day terrorist bombings rocked the city.
