Former Olympic ice-skating stars NANCY KERRIGAN and TONYA HARDING's fierce rivalry a decade ago has been turned into a new opera.
TONYA AND NANCY: THE OPERA will premiere at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts next year (06).
The skaters hit the headlines globally in 1994 when Harding hired henchmen to club her rival on the knee during an Olympics trial event.
After agreeing to a plea bargain for her part in the attack, Harding was later banned from competitive ice-skating for life.
